One of the most iconic dairy plants in the country was using KC-4 reciprocating ammonia compressors for chilling milk, and boilers for process applications like pasteurization, CIP among others. Temperature ranges for various application varied from 45°C to 95°C.
ChillerMate systems were installed, where heat was recovered from KC-4 compressors, and used to generate zero-cost hot water at 65°C, which offset the briquette consumption for dyeing application.
- Boiler feedwater is now available at 65C instead of 30C previously
- 100 tons of carbon emission reduction per annum
